Strangulated Hernia treatment
Hernia operation in BTM Layout
What is a strangulated hernia?
A hernia develops when the inner layers of the abdominal wall weaken, resulting in a bulge or rip. As the inner tube punctures the damaged tyre, the inner lining of the abdomen presses against the weakest portion of the abdominal wall, forming a balloon-like sac. This causes the intestine to loop or causes abdominal tissue to rip. Natural weakness, hard lifting, continuous coughing, and straining with bowel motions or urine can all cause tissue weakening.
This is a life-threatening disorder that can result in gangrene, cut off blood flow to the small intestine, and lead to perforation. As a result, therapy for strangulated hernia is urgently required.

What is Laparoscopic Hernia Repair?
The process for repairing a hernia laparoscopically is identical to other laparoscopic operations. Where the surgeon makes incisions through which a laparoscope (a laparoscope is a small instrument with a narrow tube that has a light source and camera at the end of the tube) is inserted and the surgeon is able to locate the hernia using the Laparoscope’s video camera; the hernia is then removed with the help of surgical equipment through the other incisions made; and the incisions are then sealed using surgical glue or staples.
If necessary, the doctor may move to an open operation depending on the state of the hernia.
